VAT EXEMPTION – DO YOU QUALIFY?
If your affected by a long-term illness or have a disability, It is likely that you qualify for VAT EXEMPTION on most mobility goods and services that are available in the UK. This is with the proviso that the products being bought are to aid and assist with your illness or disability.
On the Magbility website we provide both the INC VAT price and the EXVAT price. If you do suffer from an illness or disability, the EX VAT price will be applied. The zero rated VAT option is clearly marked at the top of the product page and is the price shown on all products in adverts and links.

What is long term illness or disability?
To ensure that you qualify for zero rated VAT you will need to comply with the following criteria:
• An acknowledged physical or mental impairment which is having a long-term and life changing effect upon your ability to carry out your daily routines and tasks.
• A registered chronic medical condition and are currently undertaking some form of medication or treatment for.
• You are suffering with a terminal illness.
Temporary disability or illness does not qualify for the VAT exemption scheme.
An able-bodied person can buy the goods for somebody else and still qualify. In this scenario, you will not be charged VAT.

Personal or domestic use means that the goods or services are supplied for your own private use, rather than for business purposes.
